Position Summary | Central Michigan University College of Medicine (CMED) is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our Foundational Sciences Discipline. The successful candidate will have broad training in Pharmacology. The successful candidate will assume a role in the ongoing improvement of a highly integrated, cross-disciplinary, clinical presentation and inquiry-based medical school curriculum that includes Case-Based and Team-Based Learning, and Peer Instruction teaching modality. This role will also include facilitating small-group Problem-Based Learning case discussions and may include teaching elective courses in the candidate’s content area. Scholarship expectations are those related to the development of educational modules, medical education research as well as research in the candidate’s area of expertise. This position can be at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank on non-tenure track, depending on credentials. |

About the Department | The CMU College of Medicine graduated its eighth class of physicians in May 2024. The college was created to prepare diverse, culturally competent physicians focused on improving access to high-quality healthcare, with an emphasis on rural and medically underserved regions. Graduates aspire to excellence in providing patient-centered and evidence- based care to their patients and communities. Physicians are engaged in leading healthcare transformation, lifelong learning, and team-based education. The college received full accreditation by the Liaison Committee on Medicine Education (LCME) in June 2018, making it the 147th accredited medical school in the country.
